The Melewar Equities Group ("the Group") is a Malaysian base diversified Financial and Industrial Services Group. The Group was founded in 1960 by the late, H.R.H. Tunku Tan Sri Abdullah, a member of the Negeri Sembilan royal family. Currently helmed by Tunku Dato’ Yaacob, the 3rd son of Tunku Tan Sri Abdullah, the Group has grown to become a significant leader in Malaysia’s corporate sector operating several Public Listed Companies, both in Malaysia and overseas.

The Group initially started in the Construction and Defence industry. Over the last three decades, it has focused its core activities in the Financial and Industrial Services sector under various listed and unlisted corporations and investments. The Group has since had significant achievement and success in building a highly regarded and reputable brand name, in Malaysia and in South East Asia.

At various point of time, the Melewar Equities Group through equity participation was also involved in shipping, iron ore mining, timber, oil and gas FPSO ownership & management and building materials industries with its footprint extending to Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Australia.
